Busou Renkin - Episode 1

It starts with a boy being stabbed by a monster trough the chest because he was trying to save a girl.
He woke up thinking it was a nightmare and suddenly started attacking his friends in the middle of the night.

We get to see the girl outside of the dorm muttering about how the boy was doing fine and had to thank Alchemy for it.

The boy, whose name is Kazuki Muto, seems to be pretty social as he was talking to some girls in the morning.
One of his friends, Okakura was mad at him for all the scars and wanted him to apologize.
They're friends so it all looks playful.

That bellybutton

Kazuki seems like he is rather easy going and seems to do everything for his little sister.

The teacher at the front gate stopped Kazuki because he was not wearing the school's issued bag pack.
The teacher however was something called an homunculus and gave him a task that would last all day just to be alone with Kazuki.
The teacher revealed his true intentions and wanted to have Kazuki as a meal because he intervened with his last meal.
Kazuki's sister, Mahiro, went to check up on him because it was getting late and ran into Kazuki. The homunculus caught her and swallowed her whole.

Om nom nom in 3, 2, 1.

As Kazuki wanted to fight to get her back, he starts recalling last night when he got killed that he has been given a new life.
At that moment the girl arrived and she used her 'Busou Renkin' to destroy the homunculus.
She saved both Kazuki and Mahiro and she told Kazuki that she is interested in him.
After they entered the school's infirmary they got a book about alchemy and she explains that there are two kinds of alchemy.
Kazuki however, was distracted because she leaned up against him with her shoulder.
Kazuki wants to help fighting these Homunculus, but the girl did not gave him a new life to fight.
The girl went back to the place where she and Kazuki first met and the place where he died.
Her goal was to destroy the Homunculus who made the haunted factory their base.

She was getting overpowered by all the Homunculus and was about to be defeated, but Kazuki arrived at the last moment to save the day.
Upon instinct he pulled out his Busou Renkin which is a spear with a long red sash hanging from it.

Wall Smack!

 He killed the Homunculus and the girl showed him the horror these Homunculus commit.
He was still not changing his mind to fight together with her because he wants to protect his sister now that he knows there are monsters like these in town.

For some odd reason the girl activated her Busou Renkin, with glowing red eyes that of a demon and accepted him as a trainee warrior.

She demanded that he should follow all her orders and he asks for her name.

I start to hate this series and with a very good reason.

I know some titles have no need for logic, but evacuating a whole town with what i suspect to be more than 1 million people in just 20 minutes and this with only 3 people?

A man lifting, what i suspect to be weighting over 100.000 KG horn like it is nothing by turning it into his own weapon.

This is just lame to be honest.
If this is the most normal thing that they'll show in this series then i don't have much good left to say.

I bet the next insect would be having a super speed sonic attack and a double armor plating inside its body and venomous blood.

The only thing i look forward to is that the girl Jinbee was with, is the head of the Mushibugyou and was talking about sealing herself away.


I start to like where the story is going to with Kurumi in the story now.
I wonder what her plans with Shido are.

Is she planning to kill him or maybe making him a slave of hers?
She is talking about not being able to wait to get him and to be one with him.

The way she acts makes it look like she wants to eat him.
Maybe she just wants some 'life force' from him, just saying.

What a surprise it is to see Kotori revealing that she is a spirit too.

Kurumi seems to be having infinite amount of lives because she uses herself from other alternate times and space.

What bothers me is that Tohka can't use her powers like before plus the fact that she was able to re-use her 'sealed' powers to protect Shido.



I don't get the pre-intro to this episode.
A time-skip for about 200 years and we get to see Rukino with her Valvrave that was different from the version we know.
She also had a suit fitting her Valvrave's color.

I am wondering who the other golden 7 are.
I assume that Haruto is also one of them since he is immortal too.

And then we go back to the 'past' or 'present' where we were left off.

The thing i have been waiting for is finally kicking in!

It is DR- Wait for it, -AMA!

The first death we see that is showing us that the students will die in an attack and that they aren't safe in dangerous areas.

The music makes the fighting scenes rather, anti-climatic.

I really hate the rich peoples attitude.
I am also one that complains, but not when it comes to times where you need to work together to get somewhere like these 3 that have to cross the dessert.

I am wondering if the next episode is going to be a little bit more dramatic since Leviathan got 'punched' by a mecha-like monster.

Yeah okay, i don't know what to say about this episode.

Muromi seems to be so scary that some fish get it in their genes to be scared and especially for Muromi's voice and face.

Other than that we get to see Muromi being picked on again as she is being treated as food.


One of the most hated things is happening right now.
Tsukiko is some precious DVD's!

No matter what the contents of the DVD's are, i just hate it that some handle DVD's without care like not putting them properly back in their case without touching the data encrypted side.
My question is the same as Youto's.

The moaning made me turn down my volume, A LOT!

What i wonder even more is : are these translations and subs correct?

I mean come on, talking about wanting to pour thick white genetic fluids in a hole?

This series did got a few places up on my list for being good. FOR NO REASON WHAT SO EVER (Cough, Cough)!

If wishing for the destruction of the world can be fulfilled by the cat god then i have to say that cats are scary creatures indeed.

The sis-con steel witch gets better with each episode!
It also surprises me how easy she is to fool around with.


Too bad we already know that the king will be born and he looks a lot like the phantom troupe's leader Chrollo as they give it away in the new intro.

I am wondering how a handful of people is going to fight hordes of these ants if they had trouble with just a few already.



I just knew that Eren would make his return one way or another!
It seems he regained his limbs and he seemed to be using a titan's body where their weak spot is as if it was a cockpit.


This is also on of the few moments where Mikasa shows emotions in front of everyone.

I first couldn't wait to see Eren's return and now i can't wait to get the story about how and why he was a giant.


A rather boring episode if you ask me.
A death of a character that has been with the story from the start is always sad, but the fleet commander just had nothing that would make us feel sad about it.

Now with Ledo leaving Gargantia i wonder what is going to happen.

Are we now on a new chapter and follow the other ship or is the story going to be split in two where we get to see parts of the daily life on Gargantia and the other ship with Ledo.

Killua's way to ride a horse is rather funny, but that is what you expect from an assassin right?

I guess we'll get to see some infighting between the ants as their human DNA is making them more like humans.

What bothers me is that they got cloths and books on a continent where those things are forbidden.
They only raid the human settlements that are allowed to be there and keep everything like it was in the medieval times.

So i wonder where these ants got the books about the human history and weaponry.

Also what is bothering me the most is that the ants suddenly found penguins, chameleons, cheetahs, crocodiles, pigs, turtles and much more animals on just that little continent.

I always hate to see characters die that you don't want to die.

The ants are now using guns, but they know little of it and it seems they got the infinite ammo cheat unlocked.

Some even seem to be able to use the hunter skills like Gyo.


I like the settings as i grew up with Rurouni Kenshin and i just love the old scenery from Japan.
I just love history!

The story however is rather plain and boring. The protagonist Jinbei is what bothers me.
He is strong and yet weak and when time comes he is strong enough to barely win.

In 4 episodes we learn about all his partners and my favorite is the killer of 99, Shingiku Koikawa.

His attitude and all are just perfect and he is like Zaraki Kenpachi from Bleach.

The previews before the series start are just plain annoying and unnecessary.
The design of characters is also rather, Dynasty warrior like.


The ending of this episode was rather unexpected!

I wonder how Haruto is going to handle the situation he is in now.

Cool to see that there are more than one 'Valvrave', but the question is,are they only able to be controlled by the students from Jior's Module 77?

I do hate how Rukino behaves.
Something tells me that she is going to end up betraying her friends.


First this :
What, what, what and WHAT?

The Japanese really like Norse and Greek mythology it seems.
Well, i can't blame them as most of the 'moe' and fan serviced girls are those with animal features.

There is even a hype about a monster girl Manga that i do believe to be serialized in the near future.
I can't recall the name of the Manga.


A teenager fishing and he pulls out a mermaid and just accepts it like that.


She wants him to to fertilize her eggs.


They are over a billion years old.


Burning a mermaid will not kill them and they can walk on land with their tail.

These are all my whats for today.

I don't know if i like it or dislike the whole series.
A sort of slap-stick 'story' with a failed touch of romance, violence and..... talking sea life.


I just love it!
The characters and the slap-stick moments mixed with extreme perverted moments.

The sister of steel is awesome and on top of that she has a little sister-complex.
Despite her disciplined mannerisms and leading figure, she loses her posture when seeing the elephant.

Yes you must watch the show to understand it.

I also love the 'om nom nom' moments and biting action.
Not that i am that kind of person, but the way that it happens in the show is just hilarious.

First i have this to ask : WHY ONLY GIRLS IN SUCH A STORY THAT COULD'VE BEEN AWESOME WITHOUT THE OBVIOUS FAIL HAREM PLOT PLANNING?!

I love how it all starts, but seriously?
Everything is done with and by girls.

Elite troops are girls and 'spirits' are girls.

The guys all have these weird roles like 'master of love' because he married and divorced 5 times, the protagonist can't die so far we know and he can seal the powers of these spirits if they allow him to AND YET THEY CAN USE THEIR POWER AT WILL TO PROTECT THE ONE THEY WANT TO PROTECT!

It all makes no sense!

On to the good side : I like how some things develop like the battle (despite this being a weird matter too) to kill or help these spirits.

So far i did have a poker face while watching up to date, meaning i did not laugh or wanted to drop a tear from epicness or sadness.
Nothing at all and even the supposed-to-be-most-epic-battle-ever (and i am not talking about the battle between Naruto and Pain * cough, cough*) made me drop a tear because of the low quality and slap-stick-like animation.

Though i have different feelings for each series.
I might like the .//hack franchise and hate Sword Art : Online despite that they have the same settings and story.

I judge per title and not because they are alike or from the same mangaka/studio.

You could understand it with this example :
Toriko is like One Piece, Bleach, Naruto and Dragon Ball, but yet i can't stand to watch even 8 episodes.
I haven't gotten further than episode 8 and it has been on that episode since the 2011 title started airing.


Back on topic

Some of the outfits are pretty cool and some characters are drawn in a nice way.

I am surprised that in just 30 years the whole civilization of Earth (not sure about this) have rebuild whole cities into a mechanic machine for protection from spirits.

Okay not every building is able to move underground, but still, creating a system like that?

I do hope that the story gets a change because i don't want to see an all-out girl fight just because of one guy who 'can't' die and heals at the speed of light as if he is superman.


I am still waiting for Eren's return.
A titan fighting a titan is rather cool to see.

They first show no signs of emotion or any kind of feeling when getting cut up, but now there is a titan showing his angry face to every other titan and they in turn return the favor.
They start fighting and the battle is over within seconds.

Washizu moments are funny at all times.
Even as pre-intro teasers of what might happen in the episode.

Washizu's vision on seeing Ibuki in swimsuit is sort of turning him on.

To Keita's notice it was not tomorrow as Washizu thought, but it was today.

Tsubasa's vision is rather scary.
Washizu is her prince on a white horse and it is just weird.

So weird that it is scary.

Angela Takatsukasa, who was hired with Tsubasa to assassinate Yoichi in the early episodes, was admiring Yoichi's well trained body.
She quickly noticed she was looking at him with a love-struck face and looked away.

The brother and sister appear again and it seems that the whole group got 'lured' just so they could get to Yoichi on their private beach.

Ibuki did say that they won this trip from a lottery so it was all staged.

Ayame is jealous that everyone has bigger breasts than she does and tries to use pads.
Her bikini bra was too tight and it snapped as of that moment Yoichi walks in.

Two pads are more than enough i think.

He was being forced to wear a normal swimming trunks as all he was wearing was a loincloth.
Well, he grew up with the old ways of the samurai.

Ayame smacked him down and run off saying that she was sorry to be flat.

Yoichi chasing her with the breast pads in his hands telling her she had to cheer up, but they got attacked by a bird send by the two new assassins hired by the brother and sister in masks.

By pushing Ayame over to prevent being hurt he was groping her breasts and the bird went to attack Tsubasa and he ran towards her.
First he groped Ayame's breasts, then pulled down Tsubasa's swimsuit because he tripped.
As Tsubasa sends Yoichi flying he lands on soft cushions.

Soft cushions as in breasts from Ibuki and also groped them.

Ibuki was mad because there were children watching meaning she'd be fine if they weren't.

She was getting mad and the bird came to attack Ibuki this time as Yoichi pushed her over with his head between her breasts again.

Knowing Ibuki she punishes Yoichi and as a special training she is going to beat the perversion out of him.
Angela seems to be the only one that noticed the bird attacking too.

As they all are swimming now, with Yoichi drowning because he grew up in the mountain and can't swim.
Ayame and Angela want to 'save' him and Ayame feels a moment of defeat when she learns that Angela has the same age, but bigger boobs.

Ibuki got to Yoichi and noticed he had a nosebleed.
With a rather angry voice she was pushing Yoichi underwater defeating the purpose of helping him.

Something much better now *Giggle*

With Kagome running of in the jungle because Masashi, who has the hots for her, used 'useless' in his sentence and she dislikes to be called or thought of useless.
 He went after her and fell in a trap with her and are now trying to find a way out.
The two assassins seem to be planning to use the two kids to lure Yoichi in a trap.
Here we get another Washizu moment where most people would get arrested for and that is running through the streets with swimming trunks, a blow-up duck and a snorkel.

Yoichi and the rest started looking for Kagome and Masashi because they have been gone for a while.

As they are on a tropical island the weather is also tropical and it started pouring like no tomorrow.
This did not scare anyone as they were planning to welcome Kagome back with a smile to cheer her up.

At this moment Angela was standing on a  tree branch that was slippery thanks to the rain telling them they found a trap hole with a cave in it.
She slipped and landed with her precious parts on Yoichi's face and you could guess by now what is going to happen.
Yoichi gets beaten up and not only by Ibuki, but by Ayame too while being mad at Angela.

Back to Kagome and Masashi that are wandering in the cave and Kagome was saying it was her fault that they were in trouble, but Masashi cheered her up.

As they end their talking they see a light at the end of the tunnel and Masashi runs towards it , but fell down because it suddenly stopped and groped a tree branch sticking out from the sides.

As everyone got to their position and Masashi fell down, we see Yoichi jumping down too.

Remember the part where Yoichi was drowning?
Without thinking he jumped down and no one bothered jumping in to save him.

As expected.

Well, go after him then!

The two assassins started attacking and Masashi was saying underwater.
Kagome dove in the water and saved Masashi and gave Yoichi his wooden sword which literally turned the tide.

Ibuki wanted to help dry Kagome and removed her shirt and to everyone's surprise she has boobs the size of C-cups which is bigger than Ayame's supposed to be A-cups.

*Pop*

 They 'popped' out and Yoichi's face stranded in between them and got beaten up.
As Yoichi and Ibuki were talking about Kagome he recalls why she was so embarrassed to swim and his nose started to bleed.

You don't say?

Ibuki was holding fireworks and pointed it at Yoichi and here ends their trip to the beach.

Washizu was still trying to get to the beach at night, but all his efforts are in vain.

Poor Washizu.
