~The Anima-Ture~

I have decided to write for each episode and volume individually.
No one likes to read a whole book but rather read small writings about certain episodes and volumes.

Woldo Otaku dayoh!

On Saturday, 10 December 2011 0 comments

~The Anima-Ture~
Recently i see it popping up more and more.

The world otaku day.

What is it? I don't know...
A day where everyone who is considered a otaku, stand up in their room and shout 'I'm a otaku!' ?

No clean or clear reasons are given about what TWOD presents or stands for.

Not realizing that 'otaku' is a negative word used by normal plebs (people).
People who are in 'love' with anime/Manga are divided in different levels.
You got ;
  • The curious one - wants to learn more
  • The regular one - watches or read anime or Manga from time to time
  • The addicted one - watching it everyday and at least 5 episodes every day
  • The heavy addicted one - watching it every day at least one series a day
  • The otaku - Watching nonstop, reading nonstop, throwing everything away just so he/she can be with his/her pixilated love of their live.
Many consider themselves a 'otaku' because they watch it "non-stop".

What is non-stop?

From waking up, you turn on some songs featured in Anime series.

Going to school/work with an mp3/mp4/smartphone/portable music player to listen or see Anime clips, compilations or music.

Vice versa when going home.

At home you go immediately to your TV or computer to turn it on so you can view the hundreds of topics you've opened on Manga/anime related forums or blogs.

Do some household chores the Japanese way while you have anime-related music on.

Drinking tea with holding your hand on the bottom of the cup.

cook Japanese-like food and recipes.

Take a shower first then a bath.

Drink some more tea with a Japanese-like way to hold the cup.

Put a blanket on a table and sit under it with your legs while watching the news or something anime related.

Go to bed and clap yourself around a body pillow as they do it in the series.

All of this does not make you a otaku!

Even i, who knows nothing to talk about besides gaming and the Japanese culture, can't be called a otaku.

I am far from it but those who call themselves a otaku are even farther away from it.

The world otaku day starts at 15 December at 6:30 and ends at 22:30 (from various forums)

We all love the Japanese culture.

The most of us love Japan because of the animeetion (Anime) and Manga (strips).

I kind of get agitated when i see people using animes instead of Anime.

Why?

I can't imagine people saying animationses or cartoonses.

Anime is a plural already and that is why you can't add s or 's to it.

Anime - series is the correct way or just Anime.

In our ears it might sound weird but it is like what i am typing here.

You can say that you like a certain anime but you can't say 'i love certain animes'.

The correct line is 'i love certain Anime series'.

Just like many people call Manga a series while it is a volume like any other book has them.

Manga on the other hand is the same as Anime, a whole.

But you can add 's to it making it Manga's which would be like strips.

Add s directly to it and you get stripses.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usMany people wonder why i put my time in this but if you think about it when there are people remembering words from their favorite series or quotes or thinking they can talk Japanese by saying baka, arigatou, dame, kawaii, korosu et cetera.

Those are the words that are being said 85% of the time. No need to be Einstein to know what it is after watching +- 50 series.

There are people spending 100+ hours to create their ultimate cosplay suite.
And there are those wasting their time to point others to the right things like i am doing now.

Special for Japan

On Friday, 11 March 2011 1 comments

I am more or less a hearthless bastard when coming to words but my heart is weaker then the most in the world.
If they are talking about how their pet died i just say i'm not interested in how it happened or whenever it happened.

The same goes with news, if there are many fights and people die i do not care about it.

But here is the thing that most of us do; we create a layer around our heart to protect it and mine is easy to break.
If i watch somthing with a lot of emotions i start to cry if the person is crying.
I feel like crying if a family member is mad at me because i don't want them to be mad at me, watching horror movies all by myself is out of the question!

But enough about me this is for you Japan.

For a country that fascinates me for 5 years long i do feel sorry for the people that died in the tsunami and the earthquake.

I hope Japan and its people will recover from this disaster quickly.
