Revy - Black Lagoon

On Thursday, 29 December 2011 0 comments

~The Anima-Ture~

Revy is definitely one of a kind. Especially in the series of Black Lagoon. She's relentless and always gets what she wants. When she doesn't though, it's best to stay out of her way. If it's not every gun in the world she can bring out, she'll kick ass with her attitude.

Not much about Revy's past is ever detailed in this series. Although, just a little is revealed about why she is the way she is. She was born and raised in Chinatown, Manhattan where she first got her hands on a gun at a age of a young girl. She had practiced shooting and it definitely paid off, as they call her "Two hands" in the series. She's the best with two pistols in each hand. Specifically, two 9mm sword cutlass berettas that she's dead on target with.

Her lack of patience always gets to her, because she's always on the move and needs something to do. However the trait is good for the career she's in. Career? A career as a pirate, she'll smuggle, kill and trade anything for money. All Revy cares about is money and getting the job done to get it. She does what she needs to do without any conscience whatsoever. Revy will use her mouth, guns and personality to accomplish what she needs done.

She comes off as a very mean and sadistic killer. But, that almost covers up her true self. Revy goes through the series as the 'tough bad girl', when in reality, deep down inside, she uses all her heartache and pain to motivate her throughout life. When someone has so much pain held backin them for so long, it's not a very good idea to get in their way. Especially when they have an entire arsenal and their fingertips.

RandyNomness #8 Saigen

~The Anima-Ture~
Hello everyone!

What a fine weather it is don't you agree?
Well here in Belgium we don't have snow at the moment and i am so happy for that!
I dislike snow, i hate the cold and i hate falling down to the ground.
Not that anyone is interested in any of that except to see me fall down to the ground i guess ><

This time the RandyNomness is about a very special website for the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) and also Great Britain, France and Germany for fans of the Japanese culture!

Some might have noticed the Saigen page up on the top left and others already noticed it as i can see people checking it out.

Here are two promotion vids made for Saigen, they might be short but in time they will create a full movie with Saigen members!

All of them are just amazing!
They would teach you everything you need to know, let it be sewing, drawing, painting, knitting, origami or even making movies.

DEAR GREEN

~The Anima-Ture~
I'm so in love right now.....
With this one-shot of course!
I'm in love with the story, the characters, the draw style, the progression in short: i love it all!

The story starts simple and those who have a sister or brother that is better in everything or certain things, can place themselves in the place of the lead character.

The story itself, is a common story used many times before but the way they are brought forth is what makes them different from each others story.
I bet romance lovers will want to have this one on their bookshelves.
The Romance just drips down from this cover~

Story : Lovely!
Art : Beautiful!
Page-count : Perfect.

*Additional notes*
I did felt a bit of bitter pain in my heart because this happens to a lot of people, that don't want to show their true feelings towards others unless they receive help and understanding.

Blue Nathanael

On 0 comments

~The Anima-Ture~

Hello everyone!
Getting back on track because vacation is kicking in! Hurray!

Now let's get back to the point or it might become a RandyNomness instead {><}

Blue Nathanael.

The title doesn't tell us much but if i read the story it somehow comes in connection with 'blue'.
I'm still missing who or what Nathanael is or what it means.

The blue could be white but once you read the words 'Nordlandic' you think of Norway or Sweden where it is all blue and white when it has snowed.
For those who still don't know what I'm on about ; After a snowy night, the floor is covered with soft white snow and the air is soft blue that is beautiful.

Although this turns out to be homosexual again, it starts as a pure story, destroyed by war between two countries.
But what is pure could always turn defiled which also happens in a short turn-about in this story.

Even with so little to read you can understand this one-shot for a full 101%!
I just loved it and i loved the way it was drawn!

Story : Amazing and touching!
Art : Dazzling, i just love it.
Page-count : I want more! I want the beginning and i want the ending of this story!

*additional notes*
I would really give this one-shot a chance if i were you all.
You would not be disappointed when reading this one and cherishing it, when it is standing in your bookcase.

Woldo Otaku dayoh!

On Saturday, 10 December 2011 0 comments

~The Anima-Ture~
Recently i see it popping up more and more.

The world otaku day.

What is it? I don't know...
A day where everyone who is considered a otaku, stand up in their room and shout 'I'm a otaku!' ?

No clean or clear reasons are given about what TWOD presents or stands for.

Not realizing that 'otaku' is a negative word used by normal plebs (people).
People who are in 'love' with anime/Manga are divided in different levels.
You got ;
  • The curious one - wants to learn more
  • The regular one - watches or read anime or Manga from time to time
  • The addicted one - watching it everyday and at least 5 episodes every day
  • The heavy addicted one - watching it every day at least one series a day
  • The otaku - Watching nonstop, reading nonstop, throwing everything away just so he/she can be with his/her pixilated love of their live.
Many consider themselves a 'otaku' because they watch it "non-stop".

What is non-stop?

From waking up, you turn on some songs featured in Anime series.

Going to school/work with an mp3/mp4/smartphone/portable music player to listen or see Anime clips, compilations or music.

Vice versa when going home.

At home you go immediately to your TV or computer to turn it on so you can view the hundreds of topics you've opened on Manga/anime related forums or blogs.

Do some household chores the Japanese way while you have anime-related music on.

Drinking tea with holding your hand on the bottom of the cup.

cook Japanese-like food and recipes.

Take a shower first then a bath.

Drink some more tea with a Japanese-like way to hold the cup.

Put a blanket on a table and sit under it with your legs while watching the news or something anime related.

Go to bed and clap yourself around a body pillow as they do it in the series.

All of this does not make you a otaku!

Even i, who knows nothing to talk about besides gaming and the Japanese culture, can't be called a otaku.

I am far from it but those who call themselves a otaku are even farther away from it.

The world otaku day starts at 15 December at 6:30 and ends at 22:30 (from various forums)

RandyNomness #7

~The Anima-Ture~

I apologize for not writing much lately!
I am slowly losing interest of hanging around my pc 24/7, i even dropped a lot of games. Yes, this means that i also uninstalled them!
But nonetheless here we go!
It has been a while since i did a RandyNomness ain't it?

Here is one so we can party again woohooo!

Everyone knows or should know, about the Anime series To aru no kagaku no railgun or the to aru majutsu no index and the other seasons right?

Everyone would know that guy we first hated for his irritating voice (well i got irritated by his voice) and his oh so dangerous nickname is.... (drums)

ACCELERATOR!

I just love him in the second season of To aru kagaku no railgun.
Even tough hes a cripple, he knows how to cause massive destruction with ease.

My opinion since season two :
I kind of started to like accelerator.
His voice somehow fits him now and epic at some moments.
I love how season two twisted his mind towards good, yet evil.
He likes killing but he does care about a couple people.
He won't kill unless provoked so you don't have to be afraid when running into him on the streets ;) .

Just enjoy this AMV which shows his epicness and his good side which surprised me.

UCHI NO HIDE

This one is not really meant to be funny or to have a decent story.

This one goes deep, very deep in philosophy if you think about it.

A dog thinking about the human race and what strange creatures humans are.

'Kids are helpless without their mother.' It is true because some 40 year old people still can't leave their mother live on their own.

There is really so much truth in just such a short one-shot.

Art : Weak at some points but strong at other parts. Nonetheless it is beautifully drawn.

Story : Strange but good.

Page-count : Decent.

Truth of a Lily

~The Anima-Ture~
Not a romance, not a comedy, not action but philosophy...

Seriously?
Philosophy can turn about in a billion ways.
you could even wonder why sand is sand and why sand is something so small, yet so heavy when together.
I mean, come on there should be another dialog then rather what is set in this one-shot.

A girl being impressed by talking on the street with a non-existing person is what i call hallucinating.

Nonetheless this is too long for my tastes if it's just about going on in live.

And i do wonder what kind of person could use Guo Guo as a name...

Art : Something i haven't seen before and it is amazing!
Story : Below decent. If i read this with a philosophers mind then it would be appealing.
Page-count : Too long.
I gave Truth of a Lily a 2 out of 5 on Anime Planet

Choroize Jigoku

Wow, is something you barely hear me say about a Yaoi-tinted one-shot, Manga or series.
This one really kept me interested from start, till the end.
I'm even wondering if there are more chapters but yeah, a one-shot is a one-shot. (too bad)
This is a must read but don't be surprised with what you're about to see and read.
It might break your pure heart and mind.

Art : good.
Story : I WANT MORE!
Page-count : I WANT WAY MORE!
I have given Choroize Jigoku a 3.5 out of 5 on Anime Planet

Close your eyes

A war is going on and there is the man with the ultimate weapon.
That weapon turns out to be a 'demon' that is in love with that man.
As you can probably guess, it is yaoi-tinted, very tinted...
You can literally see the "drops".
Sorry if i stirred up your fantasy and imagination :)

Art: decent
Story : weird.
Page-count : too short to understand it fully.

I gave Close your eyes a 2 out of 5 on Anime Planet

I CAN'T SAY I LIKE YOU

On Friday, 4 November 2011 0 comments

~The Anima-Ture~
This turned out quite, predictable...
If you read many one-shots like this or if you like romance Manga or anime, you'd know the ending already.
When reading this i thought it would be different but alas, it disappointed me.

But do not get me wrong, this is a must read as it is interesting and touching at the same time.
It even has a little plot that shows halfway this one-shot!

Art : Decent.
Story : Decent.
Page-count: Too long for what it is or rather said how it ends.

Randynomness #6 We have AMV's for breakfast.

After watching some episodes of Excel Saga with the never ending hyper voiced Excel (duh) that never shuts up.

I even wonder how the voice actress could handle all that cursed talking.
I even got a headache from it and am still watching it when writing this!

Now, lately I've been looking up AMV's and with great pain in my head (headache), i listened to this AMV's song.

I don't really like dubstep but the AMV is made so well that you forget about the annoying music.

Now i liked the 'fire' theme in this one.
But this one really amazed me as Bakemonogatari did not keep me interested long enough to completely watch it.

I love how it all goes with the flow and making this Anime look cooler then it actually is.
Oh well, it might be my opinion and not my sort of taste.

But it would even be more amazing if this was created by just one person but oh well, many hands make light work is what they always say.

Feel free to check this Youtube account ->HERE<- and subscribe if you want to see more.

Once again i have to say that One-shots, filled with Yaoi, are my weak spots.
It is the hardest challenge a straight guy can do, and that is reading gay stories.

But i have to admit some are good and many are the same (YES I HAVE READ MANY ALREADY).
This one on the other hand is very boring but if you think about it, very touching.

Some of you might remember the 'i forgot to tell him/her what i felt' one-shots or series that are about two people that end up together after a full twist of 12 episodes.

If this one had to be aired i guess it would have three OVA episodes.

Oh well, a deep going story with a touching ending.

Art : Decent
Story : Good
Page-count : Decent.
